WrenchBid ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.
Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide (business name, trade, phone number).
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including quotes created, voice transcripts submitted, and feature usage.
Device Information: We may collect your browser type, device type, IP address, and operating system for security and analytics purposes.
Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan or enable online payments, all payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card numbers, bank account details, or sensitive financial information. Stripe collects and processes this information directly under its own Privacy Policy.
Stripe Connect Data: If you enable online payments as a contractor, Stripe may collect identity verification data directly from you (including legal name, date of birth, address, tax identification number, and bank account information) as required by law. WrenchBid does not see or store this data. We store only your Stripe account identifier and connection status.
Transaction Records: We store basic transaction records (amount, status, date, and associated quote reference) for record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes. We do not store payment method details.
We use your information to: (a) provide and improve the Service; (b) send you account-related emails and product updates (you may opt out at any time); (c) respond to support requests; (d) detect and prevent fraud or abuse; (e) comply with legal obligations.
WrenchBid does not permanently store raw audio recordings. Audio is streamed in real time to a third-party speech-to-text service for transcription and is not retained by WrenchBid after processing.
a) Audio Processing. When you use the voice input feature, audio from your device's microphone is captured and streamed in real time to a third-party speech-to-text service provider for transcription. The audio is transmitted over an encrypted connection and is processed server-side by the provider. WrenchBid does not store, record, or retain raw audio data. Only the resulting text transcript is kept.
b) Transcript Processing. The text transcript generated from your speech may be sent to a third-party AI service provider to generate a structured quote. The AI provider processes the transcript to extract job details, pricing, and line items.
c) Third-Party Providers. Our current service providers for voice and AI processing are listed below. Each provider handles data in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms of service. We select providers that maintain industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest, and that do not use your data to train their models without consent.
Speech-to-text: Deepgram — deepgram.com/privacy
AI quote generation: Anthropic — anthropic.com/privacy
d) Data Minimization. We send only the minimum data necessary to each provider: audio to the speech-to-text provider and text transcripts to the AI provider. We do not send your name, email, phone number, or other personal information to these providers as part of the voice-to-quote process.
e) Provider Changes. We may change third-party service providers at any time. If we do, this policy will be updated to reflect the current providers. The data handling practices described in this section will remain substantively the same regardless of provider.
Your quotes and business profile are stored securely in our database hosted on Supabase, which runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using TLS.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: (a) service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., database, email, payment providers), under data processing agreements; (b) Stripe, for payment processing — including quote details (description, amount) and your email address for transaction receipts and compliance purposes; (c) law enforcement or regulators when required by law; (d) a successor company in the event of a merger or acquisition.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; opt out of marketing emails; and data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@wrenchbid.app. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact support@wrenchbid.app.
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the Service.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
WrenchBid is a tool designed for adult tradespeople and is not directed at children or minors. Under federal law (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Under Colorado law (SB 24-041, effective October 1, 2025), we extend these protections to all minors under 18.
We do not use design features intended to increase engagement of minors, and we do not process minor data for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact support@wrenchbid.app and we will delete it promptly.
We implement and maintain reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the personal information we store, consistent with Colorado law (C.R.S. 6-1-713 and HB 18-1128). This includes encrypted storage, access controls, and secure data disposal practices. When we no longer need your personal information, we will securely delete or destroy it.
While we take data security seriously, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures.
In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected users as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after determining that a breach has occurred, as required by Colorado law (C.R.S. 6-1-716). If the breach affects 500 or more Colorado residents, we will also notify the Colorado Attorney General within 30 days.
Breach notifications will include: a description of what happened, the types of information involved, steps we are taking, and steps you can take to protect yourself. Notifications will be sent to the email address on file for your account.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
